Our services

The Khidr Care Promise was developed with the intention to deliver maximum value to residents, staff and stakeholders by drawing on proven clinical research. We believe in the intrinsic ability of our residents to become the best versions of themselves regardless of their specific clinical challenges. In particular, Hope specialises in the following areas:

Emotional Behavioural Disorder (Ages 12-18)

At Khidr Care, we are committed to helping young people build brighter futures by providing not only the clinical support and guidance they need, but also the essential life and social skills required to succeed in adulthood.

Our homes offer both residential and therapeutic care for young people experiencing Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Every resident is provided with a private en-suite bedroom and a comfortable personal living space where they can feel safe, supported, and valued.

Working closely with local authorities, our dedicated in-house team develops a personalised pathway plan for each young person. These tailored plans are designed to promote independence, reduce reliance on support services, and empower residents to develop the confidence and skills needed to live more autonomous lives.

Adult Mental Health (Ages 18+)

Khidr Care provides specialist support for individuals living with mild to moderate mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. While many people experience these challenges for a relatively short period and are able to return to their everyday lives with the right support, others may require longer-term care and guidance.

Regardless of the length of stay, our team is dedicated to ensuring that every individual's needs are fully understood and addressed through personalised care and support. Before discharge, we work closely with each resident to develop a clear and effective step-down pathway plan, helping to promote a smooth transition towards greater independence and ongoing wellbeing.

At Khidr Care, we are committed to treating every resident with dignity, respect, and compassion. Beyond meeting clinical and therapeutic needs, we strive to create a positive and enriching living experience where individuals can feel safe, valued, and supported throughout their recovery journey.

Residents have access to a variety of leisure, educational, and social activities designed to encourage personal development, confidence, and community engagement within a nurturing environment. Our homes also provide 24-hour support and supervision from trained and experienced care professionals, ensuring assistance is available whenever it is needed.

Low Secure

Individuals referred to low-secure mental health services may present risks to themselves or others and often require specialist support and clinical intervention. Many are living with complex conditions such as personality disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other mental health challenges that require structured care within a safe and therapeutic environment.

At Khidr Care, we maintain the highest standards of care and adhere to a strict professional code of conduct. While physical intervention may occasionally be necessary to ensure the safety of residents and staff, it is always used as a last resort and in accordance with established best-practice guidelines.

To provide consistent and effective support, we have developed a comprehensive four-stage care pathway aligned with NHS guidance:

1. Referral & Assessment
2. Pre-Admission (Initial Introduction)
3. Admission, Care & Treatment
4. Discharge & Community Transition

Throughout their stay, residents receive personalised care and treatment plans tailored to their individual needs, goals, and recovery journey. Upon discharge, each resident is provided with a detailed community pathway plan developed by the same clinical team responsible for their care. This ensures continuity of support and helps promote a realistic, sustainable progression towards greater independence and wellbeing.

Vulnerable Adults

Safeguarding adults is the process of protecting an individual's right to live safely, free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation, as defined by the Care Act 2014.

This applies to any adult aged 18 or over who may be unable to protect themselves due to mental illness, disability, physical or cognitive impairment, or other vulnerabilities. Abuse can occur as a result of a single incident or repeated actions and may be intentional or arise through neglect or omission.

In line with NHS guidance, safeguarding concerns may include, but are not limited to:

  • Neglect and Acts of Omission
  • Bullying and Harassment
  • Financial or Material Abuse
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Physical Abuse
  • Psychological or Emotional Abuse
  • Discriminatory Abuse
  • Institutional or Organisational Abuse

At Khidr Care, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for individuals affected by any form of abuse or neglect. We accept referrals involving all safeguarding concerns and work closely with residents, healthcare professionals, local authorities, and support networks to restore confidence, promote wellbeing, and rebuild personal independence.

Our approach focuses on implementing safeguarding measures that are both preventative and proportionate, ensuring that every individual receives the protection, support, and advocacy they need while maintaining their dignity, rights, and personal autonomy.

Foster Care

Foster care provides children and young people with a safe, stable, and nurturing environment when they are unable to remain in the care of their biological families. Foster carers play a vital role in supporting children during challenging periods of their lives by offering a secure home, emotional support, and guidance, either on a short-term or long-term basis. Foster carers are approved and regulated through fostering agencies or local authorities to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.

Across the UK, approximately 100,000 children and young people are in care, while the demand for qualified foster carers continues to grow. Every child entering care has unique circumstances and requirements, making it essential to provide placements that best support their wellbeing, development, and future aspirations.

While misconceptions about the care system still exist, evidence shows that fostering can have a profoundly positive impact on children's lives. Research conducted by the Hadley Centre for Adoption and Foster Care Studies found that 83% of children reported that their lives were improving while in care, highlighting the important role that foster families play in helping young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

At Khidr Care, we are committed to creating environments where children and young people can thrive, build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and achieve positive outcomes for their future.
